I used to be addicted to the scale, but then I realized that my moods fluctuated around the number for the day so I had to stop. Now I weight myself once a week on Mondays!

I have always been addicted to the scale..as soon as i try to lose weight I jump on it at least twice a day. I believe the scale is why I have given up so many times. If I lose nothing for a few days, or worse go up a bit (EEK) then I tend to get frustrated, and then decide to have something really bad for me, because in my mind, i am telling myself that it won't make a difference since I am not losing anyway.

Well my "new" starting weight (same as all the other times give or take a pound or two) is now in my ticker, and my scale is in the trunk of hubby's car until June first. Then I will weigh in, and put it back in the trunk for another month. Moving it to another room in the house wouldn't help me,, i would FOLLOW the stupid thing lol

I have a scale that is decorated with a painting by my father. I can't bring myself to use it though. Instead I weigh myself once a week at school. More accurate. I have to say, it was downright traumatizing the first time I weighed myself. What the heck happened!!!

I only weigh-in at the gym so at least I am there to workout so I try not to get too obsessed with that!

I am doing much better since I am weighing one time a week. I was getting obsessive and disappointed if I gained an oz. Still use my jeans as a good daily reminder, If they are tight maybe I should not put that (blank) in my mouth.

I weigh in every day on my home scale which sometimes drives me a little batty but it really just helps me stay on track batty or not. As far as my real weigh in that I track, I use my scale at work and weigh in a couple of times a week. My weight fluctuates from day to day and can discourage me but it also helps me to think about what I can do better.

Wherever you go, go with all your heart. ~Confucius

Right now I weigh myself once or twice a week and always in the morning. Usually weigh myself on Wed. to check progress and then Friday which is my before the weekend check. When I reach my goal I will weigh Friday and Monday. Monday will be to check weekend gain. I did the Friday/Monday weigh-in for years when I was at goal and maintaining and it really help with maintaining.

I would love to do it daily, but been there and done that and it didn't do anything for me, so I am sticking to one day a week, and that is Sundays, the scale wasn't to nice to me today, but I lost, so I guess that is better than the alternative.

I weighed every day. I usually was up and down about 2 lbs.
On Jan 8 I weighted measured etc Followed the program (pretty much on track) Stayed between 12,000 and 15,000 calories a day. I exercised for a min of 30 min each day and on some days 90 min. I tracked my foods and exercise. I thought I was doing pretty good for a change. THEN On March 15th I measured and weighed and guess what.
I WEIGHED THE VERY SAME MY MEASUREMENTS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. SO...............
I PUT THE SCALE AWAY. I WILL WEIGH ONE TIME A MONTH. I am hoping that this plan works. I am pretty discouraged. emoticon emoticon

Yes, I am addicted. I weight myself every morning. I don't obsess over it anymore, it's just a guide so I don't overdo the nutrition part of my program.

I am. I weigh all the time. Just about every morning. I need to do it once a week so I won't think about it as much. But my scale at home is accurate with the one I use at Curves, so I know it'll tell me the right weight.

I just am afraid if I go to viewing it once a week, I'll gain a lot back during the week because I haven't been checking on it. :\

YES - I am hugely addicted to the scale and believe it represents my self-worth. I know logically that this is probably not true, but sometimes it's hard to look at the scale and not believe bad things about myself.

I did the weekly weigh-in yesterday and felt great. Weighed again this morning, found I had gained a half-pound, and felt like crap. But only for a moment.

Then I got dressed, went to the gym as scheduled, rode the bike for 12 miles, then ran for 3.5 miles.

Yes, the scale bothers ms. But I know I'm doing the right thing. So I don't obsess... too much.

I usually weigh myself every day. But I don't think it's an osbession so much as me wanting to keep track of what makes me gain weight in a given day and how I can alter those things based on the scale.

YES! I weigh myself at least 5 times a day...it drives me crazy. I tell myself nope don't need to but what do I do I weigh myself. In fact the scale says I have gained but my clothes are loose and my hubby swears I have lost more. I need to do like so many of you and put the darn thing away...out of sight out of mind...maybe?
